Carbon Monoxide – CO
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas that is poisonous in higher concentrations because it prevents the oxygen-transport in the blood.
CO is mainly produced by the incomplete combustion of substances containing carbon (fossil fuels, bio-mass, forest and bush fires). It is not important for the rise in temperature in the atmosphere, but carbon monoxide has a significant influence on many chemical processes in the air. The average concentration in the ambient air is between 90 and 150 ppb. In the atmosphere CO oxidizes to CO2.
GASERA ONE PULSE analyzers allow to measure CO concentration in combination with other gases of interest.
